GIANTS defender Jessica Dal Pos will captain the GIANTS against Richmond in Wagga Wagga on Saturday in the absence of skipper Alicia Eva.

With Eva out of the clash after sustaining a foot injury against Brisbane last week, leadership group member Dal Pos will take over the reins as the GIANTS look to bounce back against AFL Women’s expansion team Richmond at Robertson Oval.

Dal Pos, who was among the inaugural signings at the GIANTS and won the club’s first Gabrielle Trainor Medal, has been part of the leadership group since season one and will make a smooth transition into the captaincy for the weekend. 

The GIANTS have made three changes for the clash, with debutant Sarah Halvorsen, Tait Mackrill and Erin McKinnon in for Eva (foot), Yvonne Bonner (ankle) and Ingrid Nielsen (omitted).

The GIANTS take on Richmond at Wagga Wagga’s Robertson Oval from 5.10pm on Saturday. Entry is free.
