The GIANTS have passed 25,000 members in record time, three weeks ahead of the start of the 2020 Toyota AFL Premiership season.
The GIANTS’ membership tally is up 51.5 per cent on the same time last year with the 2020 membership tally currently standing at 25,392.
Having recorded year-on-year membership growth since the club’s foundation, the GIANTS are on track to break their membership record of 30,108 set in 2019.
GIANTS Chief Executive Officer David Matthews said Friday’s milestone is another significant step in the club’s growth.
“This is the first time the club has passed 25,000 members before the start of an AFL season and it’s a strong sign of the connections that the club has made in the community,” he said.
“Our proud, passionate and loyal members have shown they are with us on our journey and their support of our AFL, AFLW and netball teams means a great deal to everyone at the GIANTS.”
