Our Season Summary looks back at how each GIANTS player fared during the 2015 AFL season.
Name: Tim Mohr
Number: 39
2015 Games: 5 NEAFL
AFL Fantasy Average: 34
Awards: Nil
Background: Key defender Tim Mohr joined the GIANTS from the Casey Scorpions as a mature age recruit in 2011. Mohr has played 43 AFL games, but injury prevented him from adding to that total in 2015.
Best Game: NEAFL Round 4 v NT Thunder - 8 disposals, 2 marks and played a crucial role in shutting down opposition forwards. Named second best on ground.
Summary: It was a horror season for defender Tim Mohr who re-ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee after just a handful of games. Mohr also missed the last few games of 2014 after originally suffering the injury. The 26-year-old played five games in the NEAFL for the UWS GIANTS and showed strong signs of recovery being named in the best players on three occasions. Unfortunately the comeback was short-lived.
Pat On The Back: An extended stint on the sideline is never easy, but having to face that prospect twice would be almost unbareable. To his credit, Mohr has remained positive about his injury and professional in his rehab.
What They Said: "Tim is a highly valued member of the Giants and the whole club is behind him as he looks to overcome this setback." - GM of Football Graeme Allan
Look Ahead: Mohr has already completed a large portion of his rehabilitation program and hopes to make a return to the field early next season.
