Recently retired premiership captain and two-time Brownlow Medalist Chris Judd will headline the Hope Estate 2015 Toyota AFL Grand Final lunch.
Hosted by Sky News Sports presenter James Bracey, the GIANTS will host lunches in both Canberra and Sydney in the lead up to the 2015 Toyota AFL Grand Final on October 3.
One of the greatest players of the modern era, Judd’s decorated career was cut short by a serious knee injury earlier this season which forced him into an early and immediate retirement.
Judd’s career began at West Coast with a bang as he won the game’s highest individual honour, the Brownlow Medal, in just his third season in the AFL at just 21-years-old.
He led one of the game’s greatest midfields and captained the Eagles to the 2006 AFL Premiership where he also won two Club Champion Awards.
After moving back to Melbourne to captain Carlton at the beginning of 2008, he won a further three Club Champion accolades and became just the fourth player in AFL history to win a Brownlow Medal at more than one club.
The Sydney lunch will be presented by Hope Estate and held on Wednesday September 30 at 12pm at Dockside Pavilion, Convention Wharf in Darling Harbour.
Hope Estate is one of the Hunter Valley’s most successful family-owned wineries and a proud partner of the GIANTS.
Tickets are from $275 or $2500 for a table of 10. For more information, contact Madeline Berbuesse at 02 8736 4200 or madeline.berbuesse@gwsgiants.com.au
