Junior Sydney Derby
More than 300 boys and girls from the Concord GIANTS and Newtown Swans took part in the Junior Sydney Derby.
With most grounds across Sydney closed because of rain, the Concord GIANTS moved their home matches from Goddard Park to Tom Wills Oval at Sydney Olympic Park.
It's not the first time junior AFL clubs have used Tom Wills Oval side it was opened in May. The Concord GIANTS, Glebe Greyhounds and Drummoyne Power also played matches there before the GIANTS match against West Coast Eagles at Skoda Stadium in round nine.
Ground staff said the ground was in excellent condition despite heavy rainfalls across Sydney over the past week and both clubs enjoyed their final games before the break for the school holidays.
