LAST WEEK

Back to his ball winning ways, Toby Greene was the top scorer for the GAINTS in the 32 point win on Sunday.

Racking up 31 disposals, Greene also kicked a goal to help boost his score to 120 and pushed his price up $12K with his second Fantasy ton on the trot. Now available as a FWD/MID, Greene is priced $115K below his starting price and could be a solid option for the Fantasy Finals which start this week.

Adam Treloar (102) battled through groin soreness to find the ball 24 times and lay nine tackles. The gun midfielder will miss this week’s game against the Power.

Starting in the green vest, Cam McCarthy (57) came on in the third quarter to boot two goals for a handy cameo. Sunshine outscored seven players who all played more time on ground than him, including Ryan Griffen (54) who in the last fortnight hasn’t quite been posting the scores we’d hope from the DEF/MID.

TOP 5 SCORERS V ESSENDON

  • 120 – Toby Greene (FWD/MID, $468,000)
  • 102 – Adam Treloar (MID, $555,000)
  • 98 – Stephen Coniglio (MID, $512,000)
  • 95 – Heath Shaw (DEF, $568,000)
  • 92 – Lachlan Whitfield (MID, $419,000)

ON THE RADAR

With Adam Treloar and Tom Scully ruled out this week, bringing in someone that will benefit from the extra midfield responsibility this week could be advantageous.

As the Fantasy finals start this round, it is important that you are fielding the best possibly side. With Treloar out and appearing in over 5000 teams, he should be traded to the best available player that you can afford.

Keep an eye on selection this week as there will be some changes for the GIANTS. Jack Steele may return to the side after 35 disposals and 121 Fantasy points in the NEAFL. Once again the $120K midfielder Jake Barrett was massive in the reserves with 38 disposals and 117 points.

WHAT’S COMING UP

The GIANTS head to Adelaide Oval on Saturday to take on the Power.

Callan Ward had a massive game last time they met (round 7, 2014). The midfielder racked up 40 disposals, 11 marks and eight tackles for 162 points. Devon Smith (133) was also busy with 37 touches.
