Greater Western Sydney GIANTS midfielder Rhys Palmer will miss three to four weeks with a hamstring injury.

Palmer suffered the injury in the second quarter of the GIANTS 32-point win over the Swans at Spotless Stadium in the Battle of the Bridge on Saturday.

As reported on Monday, GIANTS co-captain Phil Davis remains in hospital after injuring his kidney against the Swans.

Davis received an accidental knock to his back during the first quarter of the game. He played out the match and was taken to hospital and has undergone treatment for his injury.

Defender Tim Mohr is nearing a return from a foot injury, while Sam Schultz continues to recover from a pre-Christmas shoulder operation.

Former Hawthorn premiership player Stephen Gilham will undergo a fitness test on his ankle ahead of the GIANTS next game against St Kilda on March 29.
