We’re rewinding back the 1980s with Australian pop group The Chantoozies and indie pop band Eurogliders performing LIVE on the Virgin Australia Stage.
Following Thirsty Merc’s amazing performance in round six, the GIANTS' match against the Western Bulldogs on Sunday will include a half-time show by both bands as well as a post-match performance during kick-to-kick.
Featuring hit songs such as Witch Queen of New Orleans, Wanna Be Up, Kiss & Tell, Walk On and He’s Gonna Step On You, the Chantoozies sold 300,00 records throughout the 80s and 90s.
Eurogliders are an indie pop band who formed in 1980 in Perth. In 1984, Eurogliders released an Australian top ten album, This Island, which spawned their number two hit single, Heaven (Must Be There).
The bands will perform a song each at half time and two post match on the purpose-built Virgin Australia Stage just metres from the field.
The GIANTS strive to deliver the best family entertainment at their world class home ground with a huge entertainment schedule for the 2016 season.
Last year a host of top performers took to the Virgin Australia Stage, including Justice Crew, DJ Will Sparks, Shannon Noll, Nathaniel and Diesel.
The GIANTS will continue to offer fans a unique match-day experience at Spotless Stadium.
There will be kick-to-kick after every home game, bigger-than-ever inflatables in the Fan Zone as well as a new Toyo Tires Game On! activation.
There’s also a first-timers marquee - where people can learn about the game if they haven’t attended before - and a wide range of roving performers and characters.
The third-placed GIANTS take on the fifth-placed Bulldogs in a battle for the top four at Spotless Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Adult tickets start from just $24 and $16 for concessions and don’t forget it’s Sunday Funday so juniors under 15 get in for FREE!
