More than 100 people helped celebrate the achievements of sportswomen across the country at the inaugural GIANTS’ Women in Sport lunch.
Held at Rosehill Racecourse on Wednesday, the event celebrates the GIANTS’ AFL Women’s team and new partnership with GIANTS netball.
Guests heard from a range of women involved at the highest level of sports and business talk about their experiences and how they see the future for women in sport.
Hosted by GIANTS number one ticketholder Melissa Doyle, the lunch featured a keynote speech from inaugural GIANTS board member and current AFL Commissioner Gabrielle Trainor.
There was also a panel with AFL legend and inaugural coach Kevin Sheedy, Australian Diamonds legend, GIANTS netball player and AFL Women’s Welfare Manager Kim Green, GIANTS Netball Head Coach Julie Fitzgerald and GIANTS’ marquee AFL Women’s player Emma Swanson.
