Charity Partner
This year the GIANTS and UNHCR have team up to create the GIANTS’ inaugural Multicultural jumper which will be worn this weekend. Australia for UNHCR raises funds to support the UN Refugee Agency’s global emergency response activity around the world. In 2015, the generosity of Australians raised over $28 million last year to help provide emergency relief such as shelter, food, water and sanitation. In 2016, the number of people forced to flee their homes has now exceeded 65 million, the highest since the second world war. Over half of all refugees globally are children. In Syria alone, more than 10 million people have been forced to flee their homes so far. Australians can support the global emergency response by visiting www.unrefugees.org.au to make a donation.
Match Day Partner
Harvey Norman is the proud match day partner of the GIANTS’ Multicultural Round match. Harvey Norman was announced as the major sponsor of the Auburn GIANTS in March last year, the first time the company has been involved in AFL. The Auburn GIANTS will play the curtain-closer after the main game at Spotless Stadium.
