The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS have reached another important milestone by signing their 9000th member.
CEO David Matthews said that the club was pleased with the support that the young GIANTS have received so far in their first season in the AFL competition.
“The response so far from the Greater Western Sydney public and Canberra has been fantastic,” he said. “To reach 9,000 members is a significant milestone for us but we understand that we still have a long way to go.
“We had over 12,000 Foundation Members in 2011 so hopefully all of those people come on board. There are a number of exciting milestones ahead of us in the next few weeks with our new SKODA Stadium opening for Round 9 and our second AFL match for Premiership points at Manuka Oval.
“We will head to Canberra this weekend to play the Gold Coast SUNS so if you’re not signed up yet – I encourage you to get behind us before this important match and join us on Sunday for a family day at Manuka.”
