Young forward Jarrod Pickett has undergone successful surgery on his Lisfranc injury and will begin rehabilitation after being ruled out for the season.
Pickett suffered the foot injury in a NEAFL match a fortnight ago and underwent surgery in Sydney last week.
There were no fresh injuries to report from the GIANTS’ NEAFL match against the Suns in Townsville or win over the Saints in Melbourne on Sunday.
Ruckman Dawson Simpson was a late withdrawal in Townsville with an ankle injury but is expected to be available to play this week, as is rookie Daniel Lloyd who missed a fortnight with a minor calf injury.
Young midfielder Paul Ahern completed his first running session on an anti-gravity treadmill last week as he rehabilitates from a knee reconstruction in February.
Defenders Aidan Corr and Caleb Marchbank both continue their recoveries from their respective ankle injuries.
