The GIANTS have made a single change for Saturday’s clash with the Bombers at Spotless Stadium with running machine Tom Scully returning to the side.

Scully, who was a late withdrawal from last week’s win over West Coast with knee soreness, returns to his customary role in the midfield.

Coach Leon Cameron had no hesitation about bringing Scully straight back in.

“He trained really well yesterday,” Cameron said.

“Obviously he’s a valuable member of our team so we look forward to him coming back in this weekend.”

Key defender Tim Mohr, who replaced Scully in round 10 for his first game at the top level in more than a year, is the unlucky omission.

“It’s disappointing for Tim Mohr because I thought he played his role really well last weekend and he’s playing some really good footy so he’s pretty unlucky,” Cameron said.

“But we look forward to Tom taking up his customary role through the midfield.”

The GIANTS take on Essendon, who will break new ground this Saturday when they become the first team other than the GIANTS to play at Spotless Stadium five times.

While the Bombers sit in 11th on the AFL ladder and the GIANTS second, coach Cameron is under no illusions about the tough task facing his side.

“They are a team who are playing some really good footy,” he said.

“They’re 5-5 and there’s no doubt they’re going to put a lot on this game. We’ve had some pretty good duels over the last couple of years.

“Hopefully a lot of Bombers supporters come and watch the match because they’re playing some really good footy but more importantly, we need our GIANTS members there for the weekend.”

In further good news, midfielder Tendai Mzungu has been selected to return from injury via the NEAFL on Saturday when the GIANTS Reserves take on Redland in the curtain-raiser at Spotless Stadium.

It’ll be the 31-year old's first game since suffering a serious hamstring injury in the GIANTS' round one AFL loss in Adelaide.

This week the GIANTS smashed past 20,000 members for the first time in the club’s history with plenty of rewards and offers on show at Spotless Stadium for all members in attendance. Get on board and become a three-game member for just $85, click here for more.

The GIANTS will also continue the celebrations and recognition of last week’s Sir Doug Nicholls Indigenous Round, wearing their specially-designed jumper at home.
