Jeremy Cameron will be free to play in the GIANTS round one clash with Adelaide after escaping suspension for striking North Melbourne’s Scott Thompson.
The star forward was reported during the final quarter of the GIANTS JLT Community Series win over the Kangaroos at UNSW Canberra Stadium on Friday night, but has been offered a $1,000 fine by the Match Review Panel.
The MRP found the strike was intentional with low impact to the body and deemed it a $1500 sanction.
With an early guilty plea Cameron can accept a reduced $1000 sanction.
Meanwhile fellow forward Toby Greene has also been offered a $1,000 fine for misconduct towards Sam Wright.
Greene – who kicked five goals during the GIANTS 38-point win – was sighted by the MRP for an incident in the fourth quarter.
The MRP assessed the incident and handed down a $1500 sanction which can be reduced to $1000 if Greene accepts an early plea.
