The GIANTS would like to thank Phoebe McWilliams and Madeleine Boyd for their contribution to the GIANTS.
The pair committed to Geelong’s AFLW side on the final day of the NAB AFL Women’s Expansion Signing Period.
McWilliams has played all 14 games for the GIANTS, averaging a goal a game across her two seasons in orange and charcoal.
The 32 year old forward was named in the 2018 Virgin Australia AFL Women’s All Australian squad of 40 and has opted to return to Victoria to be closer to family.
Boyd, 25, played two games for the GIANTS in 2018 after playing seven matches for Melbourne in the inaugural AFLW season to take her career tally to nine games.
GIANTS AFLW coach Alan McConnell said: “We’re disappointed to lose Phoebe and Maddie but wish them well for the future.
“We’re incredibly proud of the culture we’ve built in our program in a short space of time and we’re looking forward to continuing to build our list ahead of next season.”
The AFLW trade and signing period commences this Wednesday.
