After a tough Round 23 encounter against the Melbourne Demons on Sunday, the GIANTS players have a day off to recover and start to turn their attention to a huge elimination final in 12 days’ time.
The GIANTS will be taking on arch rivals the Swans in the second Sydney Derby final in just three years, with tickets for the SCG clash to go on sale tomorrow.
The Virgin Australia All Australian squad of 40 was announced this morning, with GIANTS wingman-turned-defender Lachie Whitfield and courageous co-captain Callan Ward named in the initial squad.
While the final team of 22 will be revealed on Wednesday night, the omission of key GIANTS – in particular Stephen Coniglio – from the squad of 40 raised eyebrows on social media.
