Jeremy Cameron has been referred directly to the AFL Tribunal for striking Brisbane Lion Harris Andrews during Saturday’s win over Brisbane.
The forward was reported during the opening quarter of the match at the Gabba after making high contact with the Lions defender during a marking contest.
Andrews played no further part in the game.
Cameron has been referred directly to the Tribunal and cannot accept an early plea.
A statement on behalf of Match Review Officer Michael Christian said:
“Based on the available video evidence and
Cameron will appear at the Tribunal in Melbourne on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, midfielder Lachie Whitfield has been charged with striking Dayne Zorko during Saturday’s match. In summary, he can accept a $2000 sanction with an early plea.
