GIANTS AFL Women's stars Christina Bernardi and Elle Bennetts have helped shorts partner Sydney Airport launch their Community Christmas Giving Appeal.
The duo was on the tarmac at Sydney Airport on Sunday as the official starters of the 2018 Family Fun Runway Run.
Over 250 people sprinted along one of the airport's runways to raise money for Cure Cancer, an organisation that supports researchers in their efforts to find a cure for cancer.

Dressed in Santa hats as part of the Christmas cheer, Bernardi and Bennetts cheered on competitors in the second iteration of the annual event.
"It was great to be part of such a special day," Bernardi said.
"The unique opportunity to be able to set foot on one of Sydney Airport’s runway was really amazing, especially with planes taking off and landing so close.
"For it to be helping such a great cause made it even more special."
Over the past six years GIANTS AFL Women's partner Sydney Airport has raised $1.4 million for charity through its Community Christmas Giving Appeal.
