The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS will launch their own TV show, `Land of the GIANTS', on Sydney community station TVS this Friday, August 10.
 
The program will take fans inside the club each week and showcase its young stars. Fans will be treated to the popular segment G1 & G3 featuring captain Phil Davis and Stephen Coniglio, Kevin Sheedy's team selection, player interviews and other behind the scenes news and events.
 
The program has been co-produced by the GIANTS and TVS through the club's partnership with the University of Western Sydney. TVS is a not-for-profit community television channel and is broadcast on digital channel 44 on free to air throughout the Sydney region.
 
GIANTS Chief Executive, David Matthews said:  "We are developing a great partnership with the University of Western Sydney through our NEAFL side the UWS GIANTS and Land of the GIANTS is a really good opportunity to engage with our growing fan base, particularly in Western Sydney," Matthews said.
 
TVS CEO Rachel Bentley said the program would become an exciting edition to TVS’ Friday night line-up and capitalise on the growing interest in the AFL's newest club across Greater Western Sydney.
 
“The Land of the GIANTS program partnership with TVS is building on the strong community links into Greater Western Sydney area shared by TVS, the University and the GIANTS. TVS has 1.4 million cumulative viewers per month and the GIANTS program following the TVS weekly news wrap up will strengthen our Friday night line-up into the weekend,” said Bentley.
 
Land of the GIANTS will be broadcast at 6.45pm each Friday night and will be replayed on Saturday mornings and over the weekend. The program will also be able to be seen on both the GIANTS and TVS websites at the conclusion of the TVS broadcast each week.
 
Land of the GIANTS premieres on TVS this Friday, August 10 following the nightly news program at 6.45pm on digital channel 44.
