Seven players have been added to the GIANTS’ 26-man squad as they get set to take on Carlton at GIANTS Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Shane Mumford is a confirmed starter for the club’s return to GIANTS Stadium, while Lachie Whitfield, Isaac Cumming, Jackson Hately, Brett Deledio, Lachlan Keeffe and Harry Perryman have been added to the extended interchange.

“Whitfield got through, we’re really rapt with the way he trained,” coach Leon Cameron said.
“There’s a number of young kids who are really pushing for selection in Isaac Cumming and Jackson Hately, which is fantastic.
“They’ve been in really good form and we’re a little unlucky to go out of the team in the last couple of weeks.
“We’ll finalise that tomorrow but we’re confident we’ll have a really competitive 22 to take on a tough side in Carlton.”
Mumford has recovered from knee soreness that kept him out of the GIANTS’ loss to the Hawks last week, with the veteran to line up for his sixth game of the season.
“He trained well today,” Cameron said.
“We thought it was going to be either one or two weeks but he’s progressed really well. He’s had his main session and we expect him to be ready to roll.”
Vice-captain Stephen Coniglio will miss this week’s game, succumbing to the finger injury he sustained in round six, while Zac Langdon is out with foot soreness. Matt Buntine has been omitted.
“Zac just hurt his foot in the game against Hawthorn,” Cameron said.
“We think it’s only going to be a week, he attempted to train today but was a little bit off so he was ruled out.
“Coniglio’s been carrying his finger for a few weeks and it’s not getting any better. We think it’s only going to be a week but that will be determined next week, to see whether he’s available; right now it’s a little bit unknown.
“It’s disappointing because he’s our vice-captain and has been in great form but it’s an opportunity for someone else.”
The GIANTS return to GIANTS Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park for the first time since the Sydney Royal Easter Show to take on the Blues at 4:40pm on Sunday.
This week’s game is marked as the Welcome Game, celebrating our relationship with the diverse communities of Western Sydney to welcome new citizens to Australian Rules Football.
The GIANTS will host a GIANT Australian Citizenship Ceremony pre-game for 300 people and their families who will be given a uniquely Australian sporting and cultural experience to build memories that will last a lifetime.
The final 22 will be named on giants.afl at 5pm on Friday.
