Star forward duo Jake Stringer and Jesse Hogan could both play their first game of the season in this Saturday’s blockbuster clash against the Hawks at UTAS Stadium in Launceston.
The duo – who were ruled out of the first two games due to injury – will need to get through Thursday’s main training to put their names forward for selection this week.
Stringer (hamstring) has returned to full training, while Hogan will continue to test his thumb in contested football.

Kieren Briggs is expected to return for the highly-anticipated clash, with the key ruck exiting concussion protocols last week.
Ryan Angwin (ankle) and Josh Fahey (foot) continue to progress in their respective rehabilitation, with the duo on track to return to modified team training next week.
Meanwhile, GIANTS fans will need to wait a little longer to see promising draftee Ollie Hannaford in action, with the young midfielder undergoing surgery for a broken wrist last week.
The GIANTS will return from their round two bye to head south to Launceston to take on the Hawks at 7:35pm at UTAS Stadium.
