Kevin Sheedy has presented Gold Coast SUNS coach Guy McKenna with a pair of GIANTS bathers as part of a pre-season challenge between the AFL’s newest clubs.

The clubs had a race to see who could become the first to sign 10,000 members with the losing coach having to wear the other’s club `budgie smugglers’ on their local beach.

Sheedy presented the GIANTS speedos to McKenna on the Gold Coast before the final match of the season at Metricon Stadium.

Showing they were good sports, both men donned a pair and posed for the cameras.

The GIANTS finished the season with 12,705 members narrowly ahead of the SUNS on 12,502.
