The GIANTS farewell utility James Peatling after a trade with the Adelaide Crows has been reached on the final day of the Continental Trade Period.
The GIANTS have received a future-second round pick in exchange for the fourth-year utility and a future third and future fourth-round pick.
Peatling joined the GIANTS in the mid-season rookie draft in 2021 and went on to play 45 games in the orange and charcoal.
The 24-year-old played 19 of his 45 games this season with seven of those as the sub.
GIANTS Executive General Manager of Football, Jason McCartney said:
“We’re pleased we were able to reach an agreement with the Adelaide Crows to bolster our future draft hand and receive fair value for the club in this trade.
“James worked his way through our Academy system to be our first mid-season rookie selection and we thank him for his contributions over the past four years."
