The GIANTS Academy welcomes all male and female players aged 15-19 to trial for the 2024-2025 GIANTS Academy Season.
With the likes of current GIANTS AFL and AFLW stars Tom Green, Harry Himmelberg and Zarlie Goldsworthy all GIANTS Academy graduates, the GIANTS on the search for the next crop of young talent looking to aspire to reach the elite level.
Players intending to participate in the GIANTS Academy trials must be turning 15 -19 in 2025 to apply and must also live within a GIANTS Academy Club Academy Zone or be NGA eligible if living in the GIANTS NGA zone.

Trials will run in the ACT, Broken Hill, Riverina, and Western Sydney.
For those turning 16-19 in 2025, below is a brief outline of the program in 2025:
Phase 1: (Nov-Dec) Pre-season - x x training sessions a week, with final quad selection at the end of phase 1.
Phase 2: (Jan-Mar) Match preparation - x 2 training sessions a week.
Phase 3: (Mar-Apr-July) Match program/high performance - 1-2 training sessions a week.
For those turning 15 in 2025, below is a brief outline of the program in 2025:
Training: (Feb-Apr) x 2 training sessions a week.
Matches:
- March: Regional Challenge
- April-June: GIANTS v Swans
- September: Regional Championship
- September-October: Super 24
For those from Albury/Western Riverina, we will continue to run our U15s program as per this year, aligned with our other age groups. This will be announced next year.

Riverina Trial – Monday, November 4 at Glenfield Park Oval, Wagga Wagga. Exact times TBC pending numbers. Between 5pm-7:30pm
ACT Trial – Tuesday, November 5 at Boomanulla Oval, ACT. Exact times TBC pending numbers. Between 4:30pm-7:30pm
Western Sydney Trial – Wednesday, November 6 at Tom Wills Oval, Sydney Olympic Park. Exact times TBC. Between 5pm-7:30pm
A $20 fee will be charged for all players trialling for the 2024/2025 program. This is to cover ground hire, coaches and staff.
There will be no refunds for those who are injured prior or do not turn up to the trials. Note the trial dates and times above.
Players are only eligible to attend a single trial.
Should a player already be selected in either the 2025 U15s Squad or Phase 1 U16s-U19s squads, you do not need to trial. Emails have been sent to all those selected.
Registration closes at 11:59pm on November 3.
Information will be distributed to those who register regarding the trials in the last week of October.
