The GIANTS farewell Cooper Hamilton, after the club informed the wingman that he would not be offered a contract for season 2025.
Hamilton, 20, joined the GIANTS via pick 12 in the 2021 Rookie Draft and played eight games in the orange and charcoal across the past three seasons.
Identified for his elite endurance, the defender turned wingman holds the club’s record for the fastest ever 2km time trial.
Hamilton also made regular appearances as a key figure in a series of viral videos published by the club’s social media team.
GIANTS Executive General Manager of Football, Jason McCartney thanked Hamilton for his services to the club.
“It’s always a tough time of the year when we need to say farewell to good people, but unfortunately we didn’t have a list spot for Cooper moving forward,” McCartney said.
“Cooper has been a great addition to our football program and must also be commended for his involvement within our industry-leading media team.
“We thank Cooper for his services to the club and wish him all the best for whatever is next.”
