GETTING TO HENSON PARK

Located in the heart of Marrickville, Henson Park can be accessed by both train and bus. 

Train

The nearest train stations are Petersham, Marrickville and Sydenham, with each a 15-20 min walk to Henson Park.

Please note: This week the Sydney Metro will be operating at limited capacity. Visit the Transport NSW website to plan your trip and check for updates. 

Bus

Several bus routes run through Marrickville with stops a few minutes’ walk from Henson Park.

  • M30 Sydenham-Taronga Zoo (prepay only): Victoria Rd near Chapel St
  • 423 Kingsgrove-City: Victoria Rd near Chapel St
  • 426 Dulwich Hill-City: Victoria Rd near Chapel St
  • 428 Canterbury-City: Addison Rd near Illawarra Rd
  • 412 Campsie-City: Livingstone Rd near Sydenham Rd

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 

Henson Park in Sydney’s Inner West is the perfect spot to enjoy a game of AFLW.

As well as the Harvey Norman Hill, patrons are permitted to bring a camping chair to games at Henson Park.

While food trucks are available, patrons are permitted to BYO food.

However, the following items are prohibited at Henson Park:

  • Dogs
  • Cans or glass
  • Alcohol
  • Bikes

The overall winner of the Most Valuable GIANT - as chosen by you - will be awarded the trophy at this year’s Gabrielle Trainor Medal.

KICK A GOAL, PLANT A TREE

Capital Brewing Co has partnered with the GIANTS to launch the fourth year of their Trees for Tomorrow initiative in partnership with Jindabyne-based environmental charity Keep it Cool.

The 'Kick A Goal, Plant A Tree' program has Capital Brewing Co working hand in hand with the GIANTS, committing to plant a native Australian tree for every goal kicked by the GIANTS’ AFL and AFLW teams throughout both seasons in 2024.

TEAM SELECTION

The GIANTS will name their squad to take on the Swans on Thursday at 6:20pm and the final team at 5pm on Friday at gwsgiants.com.au. 

BROADCAST 

The GIANTS’ round four clash with the Swans will be shown live on Fox Footy and Kayo nationally and on 7Mate in NSW and the ACT from 3pm on Sunday.
