Toby Bedford has been named in the team for this weekend’s must-win Semi-Final against the Lions at ENGIE Stadium.
Bedford is the one and only change for the GIANTS, with the tenacious tagger returning from a calf injury which kept him out of the team for the GIANTS’ last two matches.
The zippy small forward turned tagger will bolster the GIANTS’ side and could be tasked with nullifying the likes of dual Brownlow Medallist Lachie Neale, silky winger Hugh McCluggage or penetrating defender Dayne Zorko.
Bedford will return to Adam Kingsley’s team in the place of young forward Toby McMullin who has been omitted.
Two GIANTS young guns – Kieren Briggs and Finn Callaghan - will celebrate their 50th AFL games this weekend when they run out at ENGIE Stadium.
A spot in the Preliminary Final is up for grabs as the GIANTS and Lions clash in Saturday’s do or die Semi-Final from 7:30pm at ENGIE Stadium.
