MANUKA OVAL’S 100th BIRTHDAY

Across this weekend and at Sunday’s game, we’ll celebrate 100 years of Manuka Oval. The scene of the club’s first-ever win in round seven, 2012, Manuka Oval has been home for the GIANTS since 2012, with the club’s partnership with the ACT Government recently extended through to at least 2032. Manuka Oval celebrates its 100th anniversary across this year with the first-ever event hosted at Manuka Oval back on July 5, 1924 - an Aussie Rules match between Canberra and Duntroon. Over the years the storied ground has etched itself into the city’s identity, serving as a crucible for countless enthralling games and unforgettable sporting moments. The venue has played host to a myriad of sports and events including boxing, wrestling, rugby league, tennis, cricket, baseball, and athletics.
