The GIANTS could be bolstered by the return of two key GIANTS for Saturday night’s clash with the Demons at the MCG.

Vice-captain Stephen Coniglio and key defender Sam Taylor could both return to the side for the prime-time match up.

The duo will both need to get through Thursday’s main training to prove their fitness.

Taylor has missed the past five games with a groin injury while Coniglio sat out last week’s match against the Suns with shoulder soreness.

Meanwhile, Isaac Cumming’s season has been dealt another blow with the wingman suffering a hamstring strain.

The 25-year-old was subbed out of last week’s game in the second quarter after presenting hamstring soreness, with scans later confirming the extent of the injury with the popular teammate expected to miss the next six weeks.

GIANTS Head of Medical, James Rahme, said:

“It is disappointing news for Isaac to see him sidelined again this season,” he said.

“He’d worked really hard to get his body right and was back playing some consistently good football at AFL level in recent weeks.

“He is in good spirits and ready to approach his rehabilitation with professionalism and diligence.

“In good news for the side, Sam Taylor has been cleared by his specialist for full contact training and is expected to make a return this weekend.

“He was extremely eager to make a return last weekend but given his history we wanted to ensure he had sufficient loading before making his return.

“Stephen will need to complete full contact training this week but is presenting well.”

The GIANTS will return to the MCG for the second time this season to take on the Demons at 7:30pm on Saturday evening.
