Toby Bedford has been suspended for three matches for rough conduct following Sunday's win over the Tigers.

Bedford was charged with rough conduct following a tackle on Tiger Tim Taranto in the final quarter, with the incident classified as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact.

The club appealed the suspension at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night, arguing Bedford had no other option in the circumstances and that if the Tribunal did find there was careless conduct, that the impact was not severe against Tribunal guidelines.

The Tribunal deliberated, upholding the three-match ban with Bedford set to miss upcoming matches against the Suns, Demons and Hawks.

The GIANTS take on the Suns at ENGIE Stadium on Saturday at 1:45pm.
