The GIANTS could be bolstered by the return of two key players should Stephen Coniglio and Harry Perryman pass their final fitness tests on Thursday this week.

GIANTS vice-captain, Coniglio, is likely to return from the shoulder injury he suffered in round 11 after just missing out on last week’s Sydney Derby XXVIII clash.

The 30-year-old completed training last week but the club opted to give the star midfielder an extra week of contact training to ensure his readiness for a return.

Coniglio will need to complete this week’s full training schedule to be deemed fit and available for team selection on Thursday.

In another boost for the GIANTS, Perryman will also face a fitness test as part of Thursday’s main training.

The tough utility completes his five-week recovery from a hamstring injury sustained in round 11, with his potential inclusion set to bolster the GIANTS’ backline.

Meanwhile, All-Australian defender Sam Taylor underwent successful surgery last week and will meet with a specialist on Wednesday to determine his recovery plan.

The GIANTS travel to Adelaide this week to take on the Crows at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
