Four GIANTS will face fitness tests at training later this week as they get set to potentially return to the field this weekend.
Vice-captain Josh Kelly (calf) and important defender Jack Buckley (calf) could both return to play the Power this week as they resume full training after short layoffs.
Isaac Cumming (hamstring) and Nathan Wardius (test) could also return to the field this week but likely via the VFL as the pair come off an interrupted few months with injury.
All four will train on Friday in a bid to return to games.
Meanwhile, vice-captain Stephen Coniglio (shoulder), running defender Lachie Ash (calf), veteran Adam Kennedy (hamstring) and draftee James Leake (quad) are all nearing returns and could be back on the field as early as next week.
Harry Perryman (hamstring) is a fortnight away from resuming while speed forward Darcy Jones (hamstring) is listed as two-to-four weeks.
Young ruck Nick Madden will be six-to-eight weeks as he returns from ankle surgery.
The GIANTS take on Port Adelaide at ENGIE Stadium (formerly GIANTS Stadium) on Sunday at 4pm while the VFL side will take on Port Melbourne at Blacktown on Sunday morning.
