Callan Ward - 300 AFL Games
GIANTS star Callan Ward will play his 300th AFL match against Essendon on Saturday. An AFL and GIANTS Life Member, Ward began his career at the Western Bulldogs, playing 60 games, before moving to the GIANTS for the club’s inaugural season. Named as one of the GIANTS’ inaugural co-captains, Ward is one of the most influential figures in club history and sits in the record books as the GIANTS’ first-ever goal kicker, first club champion winner and games record holder.
Sam Taylor - 100 AFL Games
All Australian defender Sam Taylor will play his 100th AFL game when the GIANTS take on the Bombers on Saturday. Taylor was selected at pick 28 in the 2017 Draft with the West Australian suffering early setbacks - including a severe bout of septic arthritis - before cementing himself as one of the competition’s best defenders. He won All Australian honours in 2022 and claimed the Kevin Sheedy Medal before another stellar season in 2023

KICK A GOAL, PLANT A TREE
Capital Brewing Co has partnered with the GIANTS to launch the fourth year of their Trees for Tomorrow initiative in partnership with Jindabyne-based environmental charity Keep it Cool.
The 'Kick A Goal, Plant A Tree' program has Capital Brewing Co working hand in hand with the GIANTS, committing to plant a native Australian tree for every goal kicked by the GIANTS’ AFL and AFLW teams throughout the 2024 season.
