The GIANTS will proudly wear a special Anzac Day jumper when the club hosts the Brisbane Lions at Manuka Oval on ANZAC night.
With just the club playing in just their second-ever fixture on ANZAC Day, the GIANTS are marking the special occasion with a new jumper design.
Created in conjunction with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and GIANTS midfielder Tom Green, whose father Richard is an army officer, the GIANTS’ Anzac Day jumper features a striking artistic camouflage print to represent the unique camouflage designs of all three branches of the ADF.
A symbolic poppy is also featured on the front of the jumper as the commemorative flower of remembranceand an acknowledgement of those who have served and sacrificed their life in the ADF.
Detailed on the inside collar of the jumper is the words ‘Lest We Forget’, a reminder that all who have served and are still serving should never be forgotten, with the feature on the neckline standing out to players as they pull the jumper on.
As the GIANTS continue to support the Returned and Services League (RSL), a percentage of all sales from ANZAC items will be donated to the RSL’s 2024 ANZAC Appeal.
The GIANTS will wear the special jumper when the club host the Lions in round seven at Manuka Oval on Thursday, April 25 at 7:30pm.
