The Orange Army is invited to join GIANTS ambassador Alex Williams and his sidekick Brandon McClelland next Sunday, March 24 at Silverwater Hotel in Western Sydney to cheer on the GIANTS in their away clash with the Eagles at Optus Stadium.
Hosts of the brand-new podcast, ‘They Might Become GIANTS’, Williams and McClelland are on a mission to find the best pubs and eateries in Western Sydney to watch away AFL games at - and they want your help.
Williams, a massive GIANTS fan and prominent actor on Australian screens, is taking his GIANTS ambassador duties to the world of podcasts this season where he aims to educate his NRL-loving mate Brandon on the world of AFL.
With episodes of ‘They Might Become GIANTS’ dropping every Wednesday, the new podcast will discuss the AFL through the lens of McClelland as he looks to Williams to gain an understanding of the unique culture and obscurities of the great game of Aussie Rules football.
The two larrikins are hoping to create a unique podcast based around community rather than general footy chit-chat, with the pair focusing on social activities and audience engagement as they make their way across Western Sydney pubs and eateries across the AFL season.
For GIANTS fans, or just general footy fans, eager to join Williams and McClelland on their new venture, head along to Silverwater Hotel in Western Sydney next Sunday, March 24 to talk all things footy with a beer in hand.
If you’ve got a favourite pub to watch the footy at, let the boys now by sending a voice memo with your suggestions or questions to Theymightbecomegiants@gmail.com.
