The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS spent the day meeting the people of Wagga Wagga as they prepared for their NAB Cup match on Saturday.
GIANTS players visited 17 schools in the region, meeting local chidlren and signing autographs and having photos taken with them.
Co-captain Callan Ward and teammates Jonathan Giles, Stephen Gilham and Leeton born Kurt Aylett also spent time with the children at Wagga Wagga Hospital as part of the Lend Lease GIANT Community Footprint.
Head Coach Kevin Sheedy helped Mayor Rod Kendall officially unveil the newly redeveloped Robertson Oval before the GIANTS completed their first training session on the ground.
The GIANTS will take on the Brisbane Lions at Robertson Oval at 7pm on Saturday in round 2 of the NAB Cup.
The GIANTS will have four players from the Riverina running out against the Lions tomorrow night. Aylett, Anthony Miles, Jacob Townsend and Mark Whiley all excited to be taking their place in front of family and friends.

In a special broadcast, GIANTS fans won't miss a minute of our clash with the Brisbane Lions at Robertson Oval on Saturday March 2 from 7pm. Special commentary will be provided by GIANTS Chief Operating Officer and the former CEO of AFL Queensland, Richard Griffiths.
