The trade period opened on Monday, October 6 at 10am and runs until Thursday October 16 at 2pm.
Last year’s period saw the GIANTS break the news they were withdrawing their offer to Buddy Franklin, and were the first to announce the acquisitions of Shane Mumford and Heath Shaw.
We are also now in the free agency period, which runs until Sunday October 12 at 5pm.
Monday saw the GIANTS kick off the trade period at the father-son and Academy players bidding meeting where the club secured PM Capital GIANTS Academy players Jack Steele and Jeremy Finlayson.
Canberra-born Jack Steele will join the club with the club's second-round pick (currently pick 24) at next month's NAB AFL Draft while Jeremy Finlayson will be listed with the club's final draft pick.

Friday 3 October - Free Agency Period Commences. Father-Son Bidding Nominations; Academy Bidding Nominations lodged with AFL.
Monday 6 October 10am - Trade Period Commences; Father/Son & Academy Players Bidding Meeting.
Sunday 12 October at 5pm - Close Of Free Agency Period.
Wednesday 15 October - Restricted Free Agency Matching Offer Three-Day Period Ends.
Thursday 16 October at 2pm - AFL Trade Period Closes.
