We wish to pay tribute to the vast and lasting contribution First Nations people have made to Australian Football.

We also recognise the work undertaken by a significant number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in driving constitutional change.

The GIANTS have always maintained a commitment to the First Nations people of Western Sydney and the ACT and recognise that there is still much to be done to ensure these communities enjoy greater representation at all levels of society.

We acknowledge the diversity of views in relation to the referendum and encourage respect for those varying views. We urge all members of our club and communities to make their own, informed decision in relation to the Voice to Parliament referendum.

The GIANTS Board supports the proposed Voice to Parliament and Yes vote, in the hope that this will be an opportunity to further unify our country and result in greater empowerment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
