The GIANTS have named their squad set to take on the third-placed Kangaroos at Arden Street Oval on Sunday afternoon.

The 24-player extended squad is headlined by the addition of skipper Alicia Eva who will return to take on the Kangaroos after serving a one-game suspension.

Ruck Cambridge McCormick has also been named in the squad while fellow ruck Rene Caris and defensive duo Tess Cattle and Jasmine Grierson have also been added to the extended interchange.

Caris, a 184cm ruck, joined the GIANTS as an injury replacement player just prior to the season starting.

Having previously played 12 games for Geelong, Caris joined the GIANTS on the eve of the 2023 season as an injury replacement player for Meghan Gaffney following her season-ending ACL injury.

Promising young midfielder Teagan Germech will miss following an ankle injury suffered in last week’s clash with the Crows which will keep her sidelined for up to six weeks.

Annalyse Lister is also set for a stint on the sidelines after scans confirmed a high-grade calf strain following a training incident this week.

The final team of 21 set to take on the Kangaroos will be named at 5pm on Friday.
