The GIANTS have named an unchanged line-up to take on Collingwood at the MCG on Friday night.

GIANTS coach Adam Kingsley has backed his same team of 22 that defeated the Power by 23 points in last week’s semi-final to get the job done over the ‘Pies in Friday’s preliminary final.

Kingsley says the GIANTS are far from satisfied with simply surpassing expectations in the first year of his reign and are desperate to seize the moment of a preliminary final.

The first-year coach is more than aware of the Magpies' powers, as well as being firm in his belief that his side can beat them.

"Clearly in front of their home crowd there's big expectation there Our responsibility primarily is on focusing on what we do and trying to make it as hard as possible for them and put them under as much pressure as we can," he said.

"We're not fazed by going interstate, we're not fazed by going to the MCG."

Ruck Kieren Briggs has been cleared to take his place in the blockbuster match.

“I think he can (get through). He's very tough, he plays the right way,” Kingsley said.

“He was able to play out the last quarter with the injury last week, so I expect him to be fine.

“We feel like we're in a good space, we're in good form.

“We'll go out there and try as hard as we can and see where it takes us."

Emerging forward Jake Riccardi will run out for game number 50 when he takes to the field on Friday.

The GIANTS will take on the ‘Pies for a place in the 2023 Toyota AFL Grand Final on Friday night at the MCG.
