The nominees for the 2023 AFL Players' Association Most Valuable Player Awards have been revealed.

Voting for the AFLPA awards is a two-stage process, with players nominating their teammates in stage one before selecting from a competition-wide field in stage two.

The awards involve AFLPA MVP, Most Courageous, Best First Year Player and Best Captain.

Sam Taylor, Stephen Coniglio and Toby Greene have been recognised for their efforts this season, unveiled as the GIANTS’ three nominees for the AFL Players' Association MVP award.

Greene has also been nominated for Best Captain for the second consecutive season.

After playing 12 games in his debut season, 19-year-old Aaron Cadman has been nominated as the Best First Year Player.

After missing the entire 2022 season due to complications from a serious knee injury, Jack Buckley has been rewarded for his perseverance and spectacular form, nominated for the Most Courageous Player Award.

The AFL Players’ Association will recognise the achievements of the award winners in a large-scale industry-wide event telecast on Fox Footy on Wednesday August 30.
