The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS today returned to their home training base at Blacktown International Sportspark.

The squad was put through an intense session ahead of their final intra-club match at BISP this Friday.

The GIANTS have been doing the bulk of their training at Gipps Road in Greystanes, but Dylan Shiel was happy to be back home as preparation for the season steps up a gear.

“It’s really good. It’s more convenient training a couple of hundred metres away from the rest of the facilities,” said Shiel. “We can walk back from the oval, do our review and get straight into weights.

“The ground is in really good shape and the change rooms are pretty good too. It’s great to have all facilities around us.”

Shiel said the move back to Blacktown has made the looming intra-club match all the more exciting.

Fans are invited along to the GIANTS’ intra-club game on Friday at Blacktown International Sportspark, with the game due to start at 6pm.

“I think everyone is pretty pumped. It’s been a long but exciting pre-season, getting all the new things into place so we’re really excited for the game.”

“Get out to the game on Friday, you’ll see us all running around and get to know a few new faces and numbers.”

The GIANTS will play Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs in the first round of the NAB Cup at BISP on Saturday February 18.
