Gates will open at 12:45pm this weekend as the GIANTS host Sandringham in a VFL curtain-raiser from 12:55pm.

SIR DOUG NICHOLLS ROUND

The GIANTS will proudly wear their 2023 AFL Indigenous jumper, designed by NSW artist Leeanne Hunter this weekend.

The jumper is called Ngurra, which means country and connection in Darug language, the native tongue of the lands of Western Sydney. Hunter is a proud descendant of the Wiradjuri Nation of Aboriginal people with her family lineage stemming from the Central West region of NSW.

If you're a member, getting into the game is easy!

If you have a physical members card, simply have this ready for scanning on arrival at GIANTS Stadium. If you hold a digital ticket, download the GIANTS App and select 'My Tickets' in the menu at bottom on your screen! Then select ‘Rd 10: GWS GIANTS v St Kilda. From here you'll be able to save your ticket to your wallet.

  • Take part in our Indigenous art workshop in the Recruits Zone!
  • AFL Hall of Famer and former St Kilda forward, Nicky Winmar, will participate in a Q&A on the field during the half-time break to acknowledge the 30th anniversary of his iconic stand against racism.
  • Join us to celebrate and acknowledge the traditional owners of our lands with a smoking ceremony and Welcome to Country pre-match after the team runs out.
  • The GIANTS Fan Zone is back in action throughout the season and will be filled with loads of fun and FREE activities for all ages!
  • We’ve got the GIANTS Big Kick and Netball inflatables - test your kicking and netball skills at our GIANTS inflatables.
  • We’ve also got face painting and airbrush tattoos available for free in the Fan Zone so make sure you deck yourself out in as much orange as possible to support your GIANTS.

GETTING TO GIANTS STADIUM

Trains run regularly to Olympic Park and the Stadium is a short walk from the station.

Buses will replace trains between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, except on Sunday from 12:30pm to 8pm, when trains run between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, every 20 minutes.

From 11:30pm Saturday to 5:30am Sunday, and Sunday from 11:50pm to 2am, buses also replace trains between Parramatta or Merrylands and Strathfield. 

You'll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment card/device. Register your details online at Opal or via the app ahead of time.

If you’re driving, consider pre-booking your parking online, available until 11:59pm the night before the game. The best parking for GIANTS Stadium is the P1 and P6 car parks.

The overall winner of the Most Valuable GIANT - as chosen by you - will be awarded the trophy at this year’s Kevin Sheedy Medal.

TEAM SELECTION

The GIANTS will name a 26-man squad at 6:20pm on Thursday before naming the final team at 5pm on Friday at gwsgiants.com.au.

The VFL team will be named at 6pm on Saturday night at gwsgiants.com.au.

BROADCAST

Sunday’s match will be shown live on Fox Footy and Kayo nationally and on 7Mate in NSW and the ACT from 4:30pm.
