Recruit Toby Bedford will play his first game for the GIANTS in Sydney Derby XXV at the SCG on Saturday afternoon.
Bedford joined the GIANTS from Melbourne at the end of the 2022 season after playing 16 games and kicking nine goals for the Demons in 2022.
He had an impressive pre-season for the GIANTS, winning both of the club's 2km time trials before a hamstring injury in an intra-club match sidelined the 22-year-old for two months.
The classy small forward will add zip and dare to the GIANTS’ forward line as the runs out in the number 14 jumper for the first time.
Also returning to the side is gun midfielder Tom Green, who missed last week’s clash with the Lions after being suspended.
The 22-year-old is averaging 32.8 disposals, 6.8 clearances and four tackles a game in season 2023.
Irishman Callum Brown comes in to play his first game of the season and the 11th of his career after impressive VFL form.
22-year-old Brown made a big impression in 2022, kicking four goals in his second game against Hawthorn in round 16. That performances also earned him three Brownlow Medal votes with the versatile forward from County Derry promoted to the senior list in 2023.
The trio come in for Sam Taylor (hamstring), Callan Ward (suspension) and Harry Rowston (omitted).
The GIANTS take on the Swans at the SCG on Saturday.
