New recruit Toby Bedford, midfielder Harry Perryman and Leek Aleer are all closing in on returns to the field.
Bedford injured his hamstring late in pre-season following an impactful start to the club, taking out the 2km time trial and impressing in match play.
Perryman also hurt his hamstring just minutes into the round one clash against Adelaide but has progressed well and should be available next week.
Aleer is also tracking well following a quad issue that caused him to be a late withdrawal from the round one team.
The trio have returned to full training and are set to put their hands up for selection next week.
Former co-captain Phil Davis unfortunately injured himself just before half-time in the VFL’s win over Coburg with scans revealing a groin strain that will sideline him for a few weeks.
There were no injuries out of the AFL side’s loss to Essendon on Sunday
The GIANTS take on Hawthorn this Sunday at Norwood Oval in Gather Round while the VFL have a bye.
