JEREMY Cameron's second game of AFL football is one he'll probably remember for years to come.

Although his Giants were soundly beaten by a rampant North Melbourne to the tune of 129 points, the lanky 19-year-old became the club's first multiple goalkicker, racking up four majors in an encouraging display.

Hailing from the tiny rural community of Dartmoor in Victoria's far west, Cameron now calls the Harbour City home and is thoroughly enjoying his first foray into the world of AFL football despite the Giants remaining winless.

"It's obviously a big learning curve for us," he said after the match. "We come out each week to get a win, try hard, look at our tapes and edit out what we did wrong and work on the things to get better.

"We made a few silly mistakes today that cost us and you take that out and the scoreboard looks much better.

"Hopefully in the coming weeks we work together a lot more and get more multiple goalkickers and really work as a team. We've obviously got a lot to learn ... but we're improving each week."

Picked by the Giants as a 17-year-old in 2011, Cameron announced himself to the rest of the League with three goals during a third term that resulted in the newcomers booting six majors and breathe a semblance of respectability into what had been an extremely one-sided affair to the main break.

The 194cm key-position prospect also spent time down back as the GWS brains trust tried everything possible to stem the flow of goals against them.

"I've played most of my football up forward so I really enjoy playing up forward, but when I get a role down back I take that on board and learn from that as well," he said.

"Today I played down back a little bit and (the ball) came in a fair bit so it was quite difficult, but hopefully I'd like to play up forward in the future.

"I just like to think of it one game at a time and try to play consistent football for the Giants and just look at it that way, play every game as it comes and not get caught up in it too much."
