Exciting youngster Emily Pease has extended her commitment to the GIANTS until at least the end of 2023.

Joining the GIANTS via pick 29 in the 2020 NAB AFLW draft, the 19-year-old enjoyed a standout season in 2022, playing nine games on her way to claiming the GIANTS Rising Star Award.

Impressing with her endurance, ability to defend and willingness to take on the opposition, Head of Women’s Football, Briana Harvey said Pease had shown great development over her first two seasons at the GIANTS.

“Emily is one of a number of young players who represent the future of the GIANTS,” Harvey said.

“She has really impressed us with her development since arriving at the club, especially this year where she only missed one game.”

"Emily has huge potential and with her work ethic and maturity, we have no doubt she’ll be a key player moving forward.”

Pease’s extension comes off the back of the key signature of emerging forward Jessica Doyle, who also recommitted to the GIANTS for a further two years.

Already committed for the upcoming season, a host of core players have also extended their contracts into season eight of the NAB AFLW.

These include three-time Gabrielle Trainor Medallist Alyce Parker and captain Alicia Eva, as well as Rebecca Beeson, Nicola Barr, Pepa Randall, Chloe Dalton, Georgia Garnett and Tarni Evans.

Also on board for the next two season is former Bulldogs star Isabel Huntington, who joined the club via a trade, in the 2022 NAB AFLW Trade and Sign period.
