The 2022 AFLW Sign and Trade Period for season seven officially begun for the GIANTS on Friday morning.
The nine-day trade and sign period opened on Tuesday afternoon, with the GIANTS making their first move on Friday, completing the requested trade of Ally Morphett to expansion side, the Sydney Swans.
In return for Morphett the GIANTS will receive pick 29 (NSW pick 7) in the 2022 NAB AFLW Draft.
Morphett joins Rebecca Privitelli (Swans), Lisa Steane (Swans) and Lou Stephenson (Hawthorn) at expansion clubs, with Erin McKinnon (St Kilda) and Libby Graham (Richmond) also requesting a trades.
The GIANTS now have picks 20, 29, 54 and 70 in the upcoming 2022 NAB AFLW Draft, which will be held on Wednesday, June 29.
Season seven of the NAB AFLW will commence in August 2022.
