A late change will see another young GIANT make her AFLW debut on Friday night.
18-year-old Georgie Fowler has been called into the squad to replace Georgia Garnett who is out of the side due to AFL health and safety protocols.
Standing at 170cm, Fowler is a medium-forward from the East Coast Eagles who has a Rugby 7s background like teammate Chloe Dalton.
Fowler was drafted to the GIANTS at pick 59 in the 2021 NAB AFLW draft and is known for her powerful running, one-on-one footy and her eye for the goals.
She adds a real energy and enthusiasm to the forward line and has worked hard this pre-season to be ready for the call up.
Fowler will debut alongside Brodee Mowbray and Casidhe Simmons, with Jas Grierson also set to make her GIANTS debut.
Fowler’s elevation from an emergency is one of six changes to the GIANTS’ side for their round four clash against the Bulldogs at Henson Park.
The game at Henson Park will get underway with the first bounce at 5:10pm.
