Drafted at 24, Tom Hutchesson became the GIANTS’ oldest draftee to have not previously been listed by an AFL club when he was taken with pick 65 of the 2019 NAB AFL Draft. Originally from the small town of Millicent, Hutchesson signed on as a top-up player for Adelaide’s SANFL team ahead of the 2019 season and impressed GIANTS recruiters in his 14 games playing as a midfielder and half-forward. He made his AFL debut in round 12, 2020.
